Featuring fishes\, twin fins\, mid-lengths\, logs and other alternative shapes\, the lighthearted competition puts the focus on style\, creativity and expression. Contestants will be randomly assigned boards from Matador’s collection of retro and alternative shapes. \nBeyond the beach\, make a day of it at Pier Village. Browse the shops\, grab a bite or a drink\, explore the boardwalk\, and settle in for live music and local surf-centric vendors throughout the afternoon. With the ocean as your backdrop\, it’s an easy excuse to linger long after the last wave. \nWhether you’re paddling out\, cheering from the sand or simply looking for a reason to spend the day at the Shore\, the Fish Fry brings together everything that makes a fall day at Pier Village worth the trip. \nSurf. Enjoy live performances by Holiday Express with Tim McLoone and the Shirleys\, and the Long Branch Wave Marching Band and Dancers\, alongside strolling Stilt Walkers\, Holiday Circus Elves and Snow Fairies bringing a little extra wonder to the Village. \nThe celebration continues with a festive Firetruck Parade\, followed by a special appearance from Santa Claus\, giving families the chance to meet Santa and capture a holiday memory together. \nThen\, as the sun begins to set\, gather around the tree for the moment everyone has been waiting for: the official Pier Village Tree Lighting at 6 PM. \n4–6 PM | Pier Village\nTree Lighting at 6 PM \nBring the family\, gather with friends and start the holiday season seaside at Pier Village—where the Shore sparkles a little brighter this time of year. \nThe Tree Lighting is made possible by Pier Village\, The City of Long Branch and the Long Branch Fire Department.
