The perfect magical winter experience awaits you in Pier Village with a mesmerizing ice carving exhibition + competition, ice skating, food, libations and shopping from our Pier Village retailers.
Watch incredible ice carvings take shape with a cast of skilled artists.
Four professional Ice Sculptors will create 14 sculptures in an elimination style “speed carving”
format over a three hour period (12pm -3pm). Witness carvings formed in less than 30 minutes before your eyes. Competition will have staggered heats of live carving and will be emceed by an experienced carver to entertain you with bios of carvers, facts and information on the carving as well as facilitate spectator participation in selection of themes and judging of carvers to be eliminated in the perspective rounds.
New sculptures will be illuminated and displayed for future viewing the remainder of their life span during the event.
Ice Skate by-the-sea
Enjoy one of Pier Village’s most celebrated traditions. Visitors lace up their skates and twirl away by-the-sea at Pier Village’s iconic Ice Rink. Here you’ll find our residents and visitors alike skating in the heart of Pier Village’s beautifully decorated community, exciting shops and restaurants.
Rink admission & skate rentals are available for purchase online anytime or in person at the Ticket Booth & Skate Shack on Festival Plaza during all normal operating hours.

Ride by the Sea! This unique and imaginative carousel brings back the iconic charm of historic Long Branch.
The event will be held outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, January 16th from 12PM to 4PM. COVID protocols required at the time of event will be followed.
