🐾 Required Documentation (Due by March 15th)

The Long Branch requires:

• A valid dog license from the town/city where your dog resides
• Proof of rabies vaccination

These documents must be emailed to info@doggiesweets.com by March 15th.

We will NOT be checking documentation the day of the event. Because we obtain a City permit to use the beach, this is a State Law requirement from the City — not Doggie Sweets.

Exception: Puppies under 7 months of age do not need a license.

Please note: You are always welcome inside the café without providing documentation. However, to participate in this event on City property, the City requires compliance.

If you have questions, please call us at (609) 426-1900.

🐶 Hunting Area Rules

• Only 1 dog + 1 handler permitted inside the hunting area
• Multiple spectators are welcome outside the area cheering your pup on
• All dogs must remain on leash at all times
• No aggressive dogs — barking is fine, aggression is not permitted
• No one under 18 years old is permitted inside the hunting areas
• We will divide dogs into:

  • Small/Medium area

  • Medium/Large area

This is an organized (but fun!) chaotic event — not a mad dash with multiple people collecting toys.

🌊 Beach & Boardwalk Rules

• Dogs are permitted on the beach until April 30th
• Dogs are NEVER allowed on the boardwalk (year-round)
• The City police strictly enforce this rule

Please do not walk your dog on the boardwalk before or after the event — we do not want anyone receiving a ticket. There are posted signs throughout the area.

Pier Village is dog friendly, but the oceanfront boardwalk is City property and off-limits to dogs.

🚗 Parking & Arrival Times

Parking will be limited due to our large turnout at both sessions (10am & 2pm).

If you cannot find free street parking:
• Paid parking garages are also available

Arrival Times:
• 10am session → Please arrive no later than 9:15am
• 2pm session → Please arrive no later than 1:15pm

🎁 Special Prizes & Raffle

In addition to hidden toys in the sand, we will also hide “Special” dog toys that can be turned in for prize baskets! Posters will be displayed to help identify the special toys.

We will also raffle off a BIG red beach ball 🎈

• Be sure to collect your FREE raffle ticket at check-in
• The drawing will be held the day of the event and live streamed
• Winners must be able to pick up prizes that day or at a later scheduled time

Important Reminders

• No walk-ins will be permitted
• The event is almost sold out — invite a friend ASAP if they want to join
• PLEASE clean up after your pup
• Aggressive dogs should not attend for everyone’s safety

This is our 4th year hosting this event and we are so grateful to the City for allowing us to use the beach. Let’s work together to follow all rules and keep this event fun for everyone!

We look forward to seeing your pup on March 28th — or sooner if you stop by the café or attend one of our Waggin’ events.
